Update: Heirloom Chrysanthemums

We are nearing the end of November and I still have the most unbelievable stunning blooms in my kitchen. Mums are incredibly long last cut flowers.

The weather finally started to turn here in Iowa this year so I cut back all of my heirloom Chrysanthemums and moved all 21 pots are in my basement until next spring. I’m hoping with a little water and grow lights nearby they will make it through the winter.
Read about how I grew them on a previous blog post. Look for an update in the next several weeks as I start to take cuttings from my original 21 plants. A few more photos because I can’t help myself.

Could you possibly update us on how the overwintering went? I haven’t attempted this, but it would be great if you could update is on what worked for you. Thanks so much!!
