Elephant Ear bulbs create an amazing tropical feel in your garden. Their huge bold leaves remind you of elephant ears and come in either green or purple. Colocasia can be grown in the ground or in pots after the danger of frost has passed. In the fall, cut foliage back and dig up. Let the bulbs dry out before winter storage in a cool, dry place.
Have you grown elephant ears in your garden?
Melissa, When you cut the leaves back, I’ll take any/all to make concrete leaves.

We love our elephant ear and it has lasted for several years. I would remind people to wear gloves when cutting leaves as the plant juices can cause pain and tingling if they come in contact with skin.
