Pineapple Lily (Eucomis)

Pineapple Lily bulbs should be planted in the ground or in a pot after the danger of frost has passed. Similar to gladiolus, canna and calla lily, the bulbs will need to be dug up or brought indoors in the fall. When you do dig them up let them dry out before putting them in a paper bag or cardboard box for winter storage.

And then here they are a bit further into flowering. IMG_9220IMG_9222They come in a variety of colors and I might get a few more bulbs for next year. I found quite a few varieties at B&D Lilies and Easy to Grow Bulbs.

Have you tried these before?
