Chrysanthemum Update

This will be my second year growing heirloom chrysanthemums from Kings Mums and I just love absolutely love it. You have to have a little bit of patience, as my cuttings arrived in May and are just now starting to bloom here at the end of October, but I think its worth the wait.

I am just now starting to get buds and some blooms this year so I thought I would do an update as of 10/21 today on the blog. Look for more posts in the coming weeks!

Read my step-by-step guide on how I do it here. You can see last year’s mums in their full glory here. Learn about chrysanthemum varieties and resources here. And then see how I took cuttings earlier this year here.  IMG_1771IMG_1774IMG_1777IMG_1782IMG_1784IMG_1790IMG_1794IMG_1795IMG_1801IMG_1803

I will be posting a lot more mum photos in the next few weeks!

Spectacular! Like our dahlias, your mums are ahead of me. Your detailed descriptions, photos, and resource lists have proven invaluable for my first year growing Heirloom mums. Thanks and keep your updates coming!

      Thanks Jane!

  2. Gorgeous. What a great job you do! Would these also have the original scent that chrysanthemums once had? It is very pungent and pleasant all at once.

Yes I believe they do smell like all other Chrysanthemums. Very strong but good!
