DIY Mini Living Christmas Tree

Create your own mini living Christmas tree with a Norfolk Island Pine tree from Sherbondy’s. Sherbondys Garden Center is a locally owned and operated garden center and landscape firm located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Get your own between 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.IMG_9662I brought my tree home and placed a drip saucer under the pot. Then wrapped the whole thing in burlap and held it together with some chicken wire ribbon. image2.jpegJust add some light-weight ornaments and it’s the perfect little living Christmas tree!IMG_2527IMG_2528IMG_2529IMG_2533IMG_2534IMG_2536

Water your tree when the soil feels dry and keep the area humid. Norfolk Island Pines like bright direct or indirect light. Try to keep it alive so you can use year-after-year!  Have you made a Norfolk Island Pine Christmas tree before?

Update 12/28/2017 –
Now that Christmas is over I have removed the ornaments from my Norfolk Island Pine. It’s going to make a great house plant for the next year!
