Flower Field Update

The zinnias look absolutely amazing right now and I could not stop taking photos the other night. I love the way the flower field looks with the blue coop in the background! Enjoy these beautiful pictures taken in the heat of August.

I do love zinnias – they are such a happy flower.
I have ‘Sprite’ and Cactus flowering zinnias right now. The darned slugs ate about half my seedlings. 🙁 I made a bouquet today of them with dahlias, which I try to keep cut so the buds keep coming. Wish I could store these summer days to bring out in January!

Your zinnias certainly are looking spectacular, Melissa — they’re a full-sun flower that you can’t go wrong with in Iowa. Glad to see things looking so nice in your gardens! Best, -Beth
