This week I hosted a flower arranging workshop for my coworkers where I work full time as a Director of Marketing. I pitched the idea of the workshop to our wellness committee as a “mental’ wellness event because I think everyone can use a little extra time for themselves and to learn something new.
I picked flowers (for several hours!) from my cut flower garden on Wednesday night, let everything sit overnight in buckets in my garage, loaded up my CRV on Thursday morning and then set everything up on Thursday. The event went from 4:00 p.m. to around 5:15 p.m. and I think everyone had a great time!
I gave a brief presentation on growing your own cut flowers, best practices for picking flowers and then tips for arranging flowers. Then, everyone made their own arrangement to take home or leave on their desk at work.
Everyone did such a great job!
We had an awesome group of employees who participated!
Thanks for reading! Have a great Labor Day Weekend.
What fun! Flower arranging is great for mental health. 🙂
