The holiday season has arrived at Lauritzen Gardens! Their beautiful displays of poinsettias, Norfolk Island Pine, Christmas trees and dozens of miniature Omaha landmarks, features the theme of The Year of the Bird.
“Thousands of poinsettias bursting with rich, vibrant color fill the floral display hall in a glowing tribute to the holidays during the spectacular holiday poinsettia show. In the center of it all, a magnificent and majestic 20-foot-tall poinsettia tree stands tall. Surrounded by a cascade of twinkling white lights, glittering ornaments and the whir and whistle of model garden trains, this show evokes the warmest greetings of goodwill and cheer.” Laurtizen Gardens
The large poinsettia trees was actually undergoing maintenance (today only) while I was there so you will have to visit yourself to see that magnificent sight. However, there was still plenty to see and photograph today. I even picked up a few Christmas presents in the gift shop. Enjoy the photos.
I just love this century agave that is always in this room.
You can even visit the show at night for the Holiday Poinsettia Show Aglow on December 14-23, 26-30 and January 2-6 from 5 – 8 p.m.
