Atlanta Botanical Gardens

Isn’t she gorgeous?

I was in Atlanta, Georgia for a work training at the end of April. During the eight days that we were in class, we had one free afternoon. I chose to spend my free time at the Atlanta Botanical Garden located at 1345 Piedmont Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30309. I recruited a small group of my classmates to go with me and we had a great time.

“Since the Garden opened its doors in 1976, it has become the emerald jewel in the crown of Atlanta culture. The Garden is an ever-evolving destination where the horticulturally-minded, nature-inspired and fun-seeking families come together to feel human again.

Renowned plant collections, beautiful displays and spectacular exhibitions make the Atlanta Botanical Garden the loveliest place in the city to visit. An urban oasis in the heart of Midtown, the Garden includes 30 acres of outdoor gardens, an award-winning Children’s Garden, the serene Storza Woods highlighted by a unique Canopy Walk, and the picturesque Skyline Garden.

These forms covered in plants were a big hit. Can you image planting each one of these plants?

How cute is this dog covered in grasses?

We also went to Ponce City Market on Saturday afternoon and stayed through the evening. It was an old Sears Roebuck building that was converted into shopping and restaurants. There was even a rooftop bar area that had yard games, golfing, slides, etc. Very cool!
